Vacuum Furnaces

MT series vacuum furnaces are universal devices of modular design. They are designed as single chamber furnaces with vertical receiver, resistance heating and cooled outer walls. The furnaces can be used for vacuum or inert gas heat treatment.
The furnaces fully comply with today’s environmental requirements.

The vacuum furnace consists of several modules that can be modified:

The base frame connects the modules into a single unit. The process chamber (recipient) is a double-walled water-cooled shell with the possibility of mounting a pumping unit and electrical grommets. In the front part of the chamber there is a sight glass for visual control of the ongoing temperature process. In the chamber there is a resistance heating basket with shielding. The upper lid is double walled with the possibility of mounting a pumping unit, vacuum gauges, thermocouples, gas filling valves, electrical grommets, etc. The lower lid is double walled with vertical motion for loading and unloading of the charge, possibility of mounting thermocouples, gas filling valves, electric grommets, etc. The pumping system consists of a high vacuum and primary vacuum pump, a valve system, and vacuum pipes. An electrical switchboard with HW and SW ensures safe operation of the furnace. A touch screen is used for convenient control of the furnace. Water cooling circuits ensure safe touch temperature on all accessible parts of the furnace. The furnace can have additional expansion units which can be defined as per customer requirement.

Where is the Vacuum furnace used?

The vacuum furnace is used for heat treatment of the insert. For degassing and brazing of structural, refractory, and stainless steels, high-speed, magnetic, or non-ferrous materials.

Standard temperature ranges from 50°C to 1 350°C.

The furnace is designed for the following application areas:

  • Glossy annealing
  • Capillary soldering
  • Degassing
  • Sintering

Under certain conditions:

  • Hardening with inert gas
  • Tempering
  • Diffusion welding
  • Vacuum casting

Capillary soldering / brazing:

Capillary soldering is performed in a vacuum or inert gas atmosphere. This enables the joining of parts with widely differing weights or parts made of different materials that are impossible to join using conventional methods. The resulting joints are mechanically strong, clean and vacuum tight. The individual parts are not mechanically deformed.

Basic parameters of the control system:

The industrial solution with PC or PLC is designed optimally for all vacuum furnace functions. The control system meets all safety and ergonomic needs. Easy operation and administration via touch screen with fully automatic, semi-automatic, manual, and service operations. Also easily configurable heating and control process recipes.

The set recipes allow heating processes in vacuum or in a protective atmosphere of inert gases. Cooling of the insert is spontaneous or controlled according to the desired temperature curve. Archiving and data collection throughout the entire work process with the possibility of writing to USB/HDD, as well as export and printing of technological protocols about the work cycle and the status of the equipment.

The control system also protects against incorrect operation or blocking of unwanted functions to ensure maximum protection of the equipment.
